Bristol harbour is over 200 years old. With boats, history and engineering systems: Underfall Yard is the perfect place to come and see how our amazing city used to operate. Our visitor center is open between 10am – 5pm and over the weekend there will be regular demonstrations of our hydraulic pumps. the yard will also host Swan, a Montagu Whaler boat, that will be moored on the ‘Knuckle’ outside the Pickle café.

Furthermore, on both Saturday and Sunday Evenings between 7pm and 9pm there will be a light projection show on the side of thePower House to tell the story of the World War Two damage at the yard. Also, the diving club are having a charity stall too! And there are many more exciting events taking place!

To coincide with the wider Harbour Festival, the yard’s Pickle café is hosting its own ‘Yard Fest’, which will see bands such as The Funkysteins, The Bare Souls and DJs to take the stage! Furthermore, there will be activities like face painting, knot tying and of course delicious food- like spicy mince chili and skin on fries (Vegan versions will also be available). In addition, there will be an outside bar with a variety of drinks so that you can celebrate in the sun.

So come and visit Underfall Yard during the Harbour festival! It is just a short walk or ferry ride from Harbour Festival attractions and there will be so much going on. Let’s celebrate this amazing city together!
